Hiro is joining OpenAI
Dear Hiro community,
We started Hiro with the vision of building an AI personal CFO, and we worked relentlessly to make it real. Since then, we’ve helped clients plan for and manage more than $1 billion in assets, and we’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built and learned along the way.
As we got to know the team at OpenAI, it became clear that joining forces would give us the opportunity to pursue that vision at a much larger scale for a much broader audience.
What hasn’t changed is the mission that brought us to Hiro: improving people’s financial well-being. If anything, that mission feels even more important now.
Starting today, Hiro is no longer accepting new signups. The Hiro product will stop functioning on April 20, 2026. You can export your data from settings on Hiro's web app until May 13, 2026. After which all personal data will be permanently deleted from our servers.
For those who rely on Hiro, I know this will feel sudden. And I'm sorry we can't keep the service running longer.
Thank you for believing in us early. Thank you for trusting us with your time, your feedback, and your finances. Building for you was a privilege. We're sorry the Hiro journey ends here, but we hope we earn the chance to serve you again through what we build next at OpenAI.

Will my data be shared with OpenAI?
No. As a part of Hiro's wind down, all of your personal data will be permanently deleted from our servers.
Can I export my data?
Yes. You can export all of your Hiro data from settings on Hiro's web application.
When is Hiro shutting down?
The Hiro product will stop functioning on April 20, 2026. You'll still be able to log in and export your data until May 13, 2026, after which all personal data will be permanently deleted.
Can I still access my account?
Yes. Existing users can continue to use Hiro until April 20, 2026. After that, you'll still be able to log in to export your data until May 13, 2026.
What about the Hiro iOS app?
The iOS app will continue to work until April 20, 2026. After that, you can log into the Hiro web app to export your data before May 13, 2026.
Will Hiro continue to offer support until shutdown?
Yes, we will continue to offer support, with a focus on helping users export their data as needed. We won't be shipping new features or improvements to Hiro. If you have any questions, comments, or concerns please contact us at help@hirofinance.com.
Will any Hiro features continue inside OpenAI?
We're excited to continue working on this mission at OpenAI, but we don't have specific product updates to share today.
How do I delete my data?
You can delete your data and account in advance of May 13, 2026 anytime from settings.
Do I need to do anything right now?
If you'd like to keep a copy of your Hiro data, please export it from settings on the web app before May 13, 2026.
