Our founding story
Ethan and Rushabh first connected in 2017, while Ethan was building Digit and Rushabh was developing
products at Facebook. Rushabh joined Ethan in 2020, helping expand Digit from a savings app into a
financial platform offering savings, investing, and banking.
Digit helped millions of Americans save billions of dollars and was acquired by Oportun
(NYSE: OPRT) for $238M in 2021.
While building Digit they dreamed of creating a financial AI, but the technology wasn't ready.
The dream never died — it just had to wait.
After leaving Oportun in 2023, Ethan took time to recharge while Rushabh dove into the world of LLMs,
spurred by the launch of ChatGPT.
In early 2024, Rushabh was showing Ethan what he had been learning and building. Ethan was shook:
the universe was calling. The technology that enabled their dream of a financial AI was here and they had to go build it!
